National parties want to push Punjab in black era, may postpone elections in state: NK Sharma
Condoles murder of farmer during protest against BJP
Patiala, May 4: Shiromani Akali Dal candidate from Patiala Parliamentary Constituency NK Sharma today expressed apprehension that National parties were hell bent on pushing Punjab back into black ear and said that they may get elections postponed in the state as atmosphere was not suiting to their needs.
Interacting with media at Civil hospital Rajpura where body of martyred farmer Surinderpal Singh of Aakri village who sacrificed his life during protest against BJP candidate Preneet Kaur at Sehra village due to highhandedness of BJP supporters, NK Sharma said that he was surprised why National parties were harsh on farmers of Punjab who is Andatta of the nation. He said that all National parties were proving enemies of farmers of the Punjab today.
He said that BJP government has sealed borders of Punjab not allowing farmers to move to their own National capital and now in Punjab BJP workers have started thrashing farmers resulting in their deaths. He said that earlier farmer Shubhkaran Singh was martyred with bullets of police of Haryana and hundreds of others were injured also.
He said that right to protest was a Constitutional right of everybody in the country including farmers. He said that farmers had already announced that they will oppose candidates of the BJP because BJP led NDA government had backtracked from its promise of giving legal guarantee to MSP of crops. He said that now with support of AAP government, police force and BJP workers they have started thrashing farmers during their protest which has resulted in death of farmer Surinderpal Singh which was most unfortunate.
He said that Congress, BJP and AAP have proved to be anti farmer. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had himself declared in 2022 that they will provide MSP on all 23 crops once they form AAP government in the state. He said that now not only he has backtracked to fulfil his promise but was working in secret alliance with BJP and Congress to supress voice of farmers in Punjab. He said that Haryana Police is acting against Punjab farmers on their own land in Punjab but Bhagwant Mann has refused to take action against them.
He also apprehended that these National parties may conspire to postpone elections in Punjab as atmosphere was not conducive for them.
He said that Punjabis have understood the conspiracy of these national parties and will teach them a lesson in coming Parliamentary polls.
